Sometimes being available gets us into hot water! In this ‘Fire Then Flood’ video from KRQE TV in Albuquerque you will see David Old looking and sounding pretty ‘flipped out’ after a massive Flash Flood took his crew members truck downstream and nearly got the company truck and
skidsteer!
After assisting in fighting the Las Conchase fire as it blew through the Dixons Apple Orchard, Old Wood was asked to remove the hazard trees from the canyon by the NM State Land Office.
In the process of harvesting, the flash floods began as the summer monsoons came. Notice the speed of the water as the cameraman briefly pans towards the center of the flood! The truck tumbling by belongs to one of our crew members… it was a complete write off.
